My company is small by design and can serve most clients much better than a larger firm.  In large firms, clients may talk to the same partner or manager each visit, but their accounting and tax preparation is done by new staff practically every year. New hires are always being trained, so a lot of reviewing and correcting is done. This training and reviewing is on your tab.
